This is one of the characters of a fighting game in development, I have no idea about how many colors were used.

I can generate them, but it would take some time, because I'll had to save each frame individually and then dump the palette in Paint Shop Pro 7

I'm using Animation Shop 3. its built in color optimization feature counts how many colors an animation or a frame has before saving.

How did you find out how many colors it has? What program did you use?

This Animation has 255 colors(limited only by the restrictions of GIF format), and each frame has around 170-180 colors. This REALLY needs more work in the palette department.
