Really cool character. Only crit for me here is that the tree looks a bit flat. But the whole thing works well anyway.

Thanks, those are all good points. Yeah the tree came out kinda bad... I was trying to conserve colors and giving it a raw feel, but I guess I just need to practice doing trees ^^ Will try to smoothen out the BG when I'm not feeling lazy.

Yeah the character himself is pretty cool looking - pose and palette. I do like the green leafy part, but the tree feels a little too contrast-y to me. I like the background with the exception of the lightest blue because it stands out too much for me and the dark red mixed in with the sparkly effect seems to much contrast but the swirls and sparkles came out well
