I love the style, but I agree that it doesn't really look like pixel art. It's not the lack of AA, but the apparent lack of control. I see nothing that indicates that it was created with pixel level precision, which as I understand it is the primary qualification of pixel art.

AA doesn't make pixel art.  And a lack of AA can be a stylistic choice.  Don't go around touting your own skewed definition of pixel art as fact.
Though, by your definition, I suppose all 1 bit art is by default bad?

Anyway, I think this has loads of style, very raw/creepy look to it.

this isn't pixel art... Its blobs, theres not even any AA...
