hey man, no one is mad at you - and just because one person (me) mentions something about one of your pixel pieces doesn't mean you have to hate the entire community.
So lets say this was drawn side by side with the original; you still copied every single last pixel right down to the missing pixel on the 4th column 3rd row star. Im not saying thats bad (for an edit) - but according to the general rules of this site you shouldn't do that.
I think your other pixel art is great man, keep on posting here. Dont get all butt-hurt over one lousey dispute. its not worth it. people will hate you.
I was noticing how inconsistant the quality of artwork was in the fire compared to the rest of the pic. This got me a little curious. I went around looking for this piece and here is what i found...

look at the bottom right hand corner of this rip sheet. Although the quality of this rip sheet isn't perfect, it doesn't take an expert to see that your pic is a pixel perfect rip (aside the flame) from the game. a simple animated gif can spot this out...
"based on the captain american artwork in Marvel Super Heroes War of the Gems"? How about "ripped on the captain american artwork in..."? now dont get me wrong here. you did a nice try at an edit, but please make sure you mention clearly that it is not all your artwork and is an edit. this clearly isn't just 'inspired' from the game - it was taken from the game.
about the flame...
maybe you should add dark smoke clouds comming from the flame or something. it would probably give it just what it needs to make the flame seem more real. good job so far.
PS. i dont know what PixelJoint's rules are as far as edits vs original work so im just going to leave that up to sedgemonkey.
Captain America is a flag-burning hippie? I'm so disillusioned.
