Title says it all! At first it was the title screen for my current project "Chester Wiggleboom" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6GmrxfZm8IThe idea of that picture is, the menu will appear on the wall Chester is hanging from, and behind him, images of the bad guys and bosses will scroll over a black background, under spotlights. After finishing that image and uploading the video I came back to it, and expanded the image to make a pimpin' youtube channel background. I didn't record that part though. Here is the actual title screen picture, without the stuff I added just for the channel. Feel free to give crits for the whole picture, but this portion there is the most important, the one that is actually used. The explosion is simple but I like how it turned out. Made it sort of cartooney. For the channel image I stretch the pic up a lot without smoothing so the pixels become noticeable. On the actual title screen picture you don't see most of the bottom or the bazooka, so hes not weirdly hanging in thin air like this. I didn't put as much detail to the extra channel stuff because most of it gets hidden behind youtube channel windows and crap, so it felt like wasted work.

The explosion reminds me a lot of those in the Zelda Wind Waker...

Thats true! But I didnt have the courage to detail all that fire just for my channel pic. Maybe ill MAN UP eventually and do it!

But also, thinking about it, on the channel, both portions of the background, the fire and the octopus, theyre really separated by the channel windows so it doesn't look too bad. Next to one another though, it really clashes! (Also, thinking about it, I should have added a lighting of red and yellow coming from behind chester, the explosion being another light source)

That's ridiculously awesome. Well done. I watched the video, very cool. I agree that the explosion looks good, but it doesn't seem to match the more textured style of Chester.
