Totally clever, finish that BG, see skeedles and that entry by Mirage to see possible solutions. Think simple and single color, but think.

This is a good idea... it just needs some work on the bg and more contrast...

Also I made a quick edit ... this has 9 colours compared to your 16...probably nowhere near what you were wanting to achieve with this...but it's an example or how you could play around with your colours a bit more
