a commercial piece.  yes, I'm allowed to post it here. :)  this time trying my hand at rendering metal surfaces in CGA (or as we call it in Polish, cegła).  something that was always turning me on.  sadly, it's happened to be slightly off the mark and the guy who had made me to do this piece, decided not to use it in the project.  whatever, no hard feelings at all!  at last, this is why it's *here* up & ready for you to comment on.  all in all, I really enjoyed the work, I'm satisfied with it and Bartek also likes it.
there were so many different versions that I've got lost somewhere.  is that the ultimate?  I don't know, really (also, I have a styledither variation, but since I consider it pretty much overdone, I'm sparing you that pleasure).  write regardless! :)

I think the only thing hindering it's practical use is the readability of the "e", I love it personally though c:

Yeh, apparently it's got nothing to do with German, after all. I've been to Poland a couple of times lately and I learned to make out bits of Polish, but I had to rely on my knowledge of Russian, which was helping and making it harder at the same time.
If I had to make wordplay on CGA, I'd use the word CIGA, which is short for CIGAN (a gypsy).

I don't care what it means!  I'm 10 years old again playing F-18 Strike Eagle!!!

Super cool CGA!

thanks!  heheh, after all we're both Slavs, Brother Heathen!  in Polish, though, it's pronounced as [seh-gua], so sounds pretty Slavic IMO with that specific [ł] consonant.  cigla, in turn, sounds quite Czech for me.  you know, for us, Poles, Czech language is funny -- it's like a diminutive version of our mother tongue.  with Serbian there is a similar thing going on.  when I'm checking your blog, for instance, I can make out, like, 40-50% of what is written there and not rarely have fun seeing the way you guys put things.  don't take it personally, though, I mean, I do respect foreign languages like yours! :)  I wonder how it is with Polish?  how do you guys see it?  how does it sounds for you?  *gzzt!*  . . . and getting back to the brick(-laying, heheh) thread, I didn't even know that the word was borrowed from German, by the way! :)  heheh, we could get deep in topics like that, a linguistics student is speaking from this side. ;)

Very nice and oldskoolish. Also, ties in nicely with this week's challenge.
BTW, In Serbian it's 'CIGLA', very similar. The origin of the word sounds German, no? ZIEGEL? :D
