Waldo, as we all know, was a well sought after character in most of our youthes. But as time went by Waldo aged and soon became among the deceased. Scientists did not want to tell their children this nor find something else to occupy their time as effectively. So they made Robo-Waldo, a robotic Waldo programmed to hide amongst crowds until found. But Robo-Waldo was such a hit among the children, a few young adults, and a couple seniors, that he was ambushed one day and got a little banged up in the process. Now Robo-Waldo has a few wires loose and his programming reversed.
