The fading breaks the loop. It'd be cool if you took out the fade and drew in your name in every frame a different way. Check out Larwick and Greenraven's forum signature to see what I mean.

But of course that is just my preference =)

I really like the flame's style. Good work. My only nitpick is the fading to black, it bugs me.
