The planning process? I basically load all the individual 29x29 works into Paintshop Pro on separate layers, then arrange them by basic color groups. I then try to arrange them into a picture. Why the eye? Well, the first one I did I was trying to come up with something to make, and the eye came about while I was moving stuff around. I tried doing something different with this new one, but I got tired of pushing all those tiles around, so I went with the eye again. Before that, I tried a waterfall scene, and a landscape. Didn't really work...
No, that's not the "Where's the Beef?" lady. Though it could pass for her. It's supposed to be Mama from Mama's Family. McGruff was actually part of the food theme. One person noted that they had seen dog testicles on a menu in China. So I drew the little dog with a bandage over his crotch. I didn't think the guy would pick up on it, but he got it right away when I posted the picture.
My favorites to pixel of this bunch were the food and the cars. We have a large format printer at work, so I enlarged the cars and printed a banner of them for my cubicle wall.
