You made that AA your bitch. Usually I advise against so many colors, but you've used them well. Props.
The palette in the corner and the white background are holding this back, I think. I think it'd be best without bg/frame/palette.

Really awesome and smooth shading with just 12 colors, but I think his back legs should touch the floor (unless you make him hanging from a string)
