Thank you all for the comments. 15 colors are way too much for a piece like this one and reducing my color palette is something I'm trying to achieve in my work. I also agree about the left paw -- moving it a bit downward in the point of impact would definitely make it look better...

I was going to comment that the impact/catching hand should react slightly to the bat's impact ... but somebody already mentioned it!

Love the style.  Probably could have used less colors, but that is not a big deal at all!  I like it as is.

reminds me of the panda from ranma. also, it seems a little static after you look at it for a cycles.   maybe animate the left (his right) elbow some so it looks more like its attached to the forearm.  It would also be pretty easy to make the right hand react slightly to the bat when he catches it. 

15 colors I think is too much, but nice animation.
