I haven't pixelled in awhile. I actually wasn't planning on finishing this, just kind of started as a doodle. Then I kept on adding to it and before i knew it it was done.
Inspired heavily by the end-credits art in Cave Story, though the style isn't quite the same.

I can't believe this has so little comments! it's fucking gorgeous! It quickly reminded me of cave story, but you provide so much more detail and environment to your scene. I'd love to see a game with cut scenes out of these. Good luck.
Maybe a shadow under the character to connect him with the scenery. Great work every where though..I wish you would put some form of a shadow under him though, would turn this in to a 3d image instead of a 2d character on a 2d back drop.
