What's with the weird random pixels in this work? And the yellow for the "flames" dont look like flames since they dont have any depth in it. It looks way too messy and waay too flat to be actual pixel art. It looks like some sort of sand drawing thingy.
an illustration speak more than many "phrases". i must admit my boxer is really deformed. thank you again, i'm drawing his face using your advice, i post you the adress when finished. :)
I made an edit to illustrate a few of my points. His eyes are too large and too far-spaced, his nose is also too large and wide. His ears are too high and the cleft in his chin is too pronounced. The size of his cranium is also too small, I know he's a boxer, but allow some room for his brain! And dithering adds texture, so flat shading is definitely the way to go.
I've been having trouble with hyperlinks lately, but here it is: http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g209/phototekcub/boxeredit.gif
The head is the only part I really edited, btw, so focus on that portion of the edit.
I mean all of the lines, on the abs, on the chin, on the nose; they're all way too messy. By "stray pixels" i mean all of the single pixels dotting the image with no clear reason for placement. edit: also, the dithering (checkerboard pattern) is unnecessary.
Ok. I'm gonna try to understand all what you say. When you say "stray pixels", you're talking about the "white" pixels on the nose? There are supposed show the "reflect" . When you say "unrefined lines riddling the image" you're talking about the boxer's shoulders, if that's it, i would create the "reflection" of the light on his skin. ( sorry for my orthography, grammar...)
It's extremely messy. What's with the stray pixels and unrefined lines riddling the image? The white an black noise hair? All-in-all, there's just way too much noise covering this piece to enjoy it.

Clean it up please.
