These are some grublyns I drew this evening. They are based off a famous trio of enemies. I originally gathered different sprites of the various characters that were floating around and shrunk them down to the size I wanted and modified them a little bit - but of course they were still very similiar. Then I decided to draw my own so I don't have to worry about any derivative garbage when I actually release my game. This is the result -
these screen shots show grublyns and humans attacking. I created all of the vegetation from scratch except for the grass - and the human heads and bodies are just a bunch of random heads and bodies that I have grabbed from many different sources and mix together. I need to remove/replace most of them.

Right now I need Content! Tons of content - my game is a rpg/strategy/survival/world simulation/game and in the original version will mostly be semi-nomadic low-tech tribes vying for survival, expansion, revenge, power and control. So I need pretty much anything that anybody can give. I'm sure I can figure out something to do with it. - like some 16x16 world map icons in a cartoony - or even a cute style if they were stylish enough.
I have been trolling around the internet shrinking down sketches and drawings, other pixel art and various huge sprites and modifying it a little bit, but I have decided that I do not want to go that way at all and am removing all content that I can not attribute to a willing donor.
Plus, I am humbly asking some master pixelators for some legal contributions to my soon-to-be legendary game. : D |
