At first I thought the orange was a skin tone and I thought, totally sweet. Then I zoomed in with hushed anticipation and I thought, awww clothes. Damned clothes.
Ah, looking at your other sprites and what you said, so this is for a fighting game as well? okay, the foot thing makes more sense :) feel free to ignore it.
Its a bit of an odd standing animation with how the foot moves back and forth. I'd suggest keeping the foot still but keep the leg movement as is, though the knee will have to move down a bit when the leg goes forward, since the foot would no longer be moving forward with it.
But otherwise its a sweet couple of sprites there. I like the colors (and the leg spring things are done pretty spiffy too :D)
