:o! I posted something! I though it was about time i posted something in my gallery and not just fav people.  8D

This is my first attempt at isometric art. It's a commish for a friend on gaiaonline and is 91 tiles in total. About halfish of those tiles appear here. I'm quite proud of it all considering.

This is great. It would be cool to see a game with that graphics.

Nice feeling here, I could see this being a farm style game or something similar on a mobile device.

Where are the aliens? It looks a bit like the gfx from UFO :) Not bad for a first try.

Hey, nice tileset! All tiles work really well together.

My only problem with this is that the tops of trees and bushes are the same shade/color as the grass and, often, become indistinguishable.

Good stuff, though.

Shiru ~ You do without useing extra tiles, which wasn't an option.

Taruto ~ Thanks. : )

Zi ~ I didn't understand "with 5-6 px bended from one side." this part of your post but the rest was clear and i agree that the shadows do make an improvement. Not something i'll be able to include in this project (as the tiles are all sent off and being used) but something to think about should i ever attempt iso again. You've been verry helpful and i'm glad you've taken the time to help.

You don't need transparency to make shadows, they're just darker colors.

now have shadows from the grass, also water is like fluid. You can't use so saturated colours like white, except if you want to show wools, but in small rivers they are missed. Now if you want to show small whoos to show stream of the water can make them with 5-6 px bended from one side.

Posting such a large mockup was probably a mistake on my part as the tiles are desined to be used between a 4x4 and 8x8 tile layouts. And this is 16x16, i just wanted to show many of the tiles at once. No transperancy was available for this project and it had to be able to be put togeather manually on ms paint reasonably quickly.

But thankyou all for the comments, you've made some interesting observations and i've replied you all seperately below. : )

@ Zi & Chanfan ~ I actually liked the water, i thought it turned out really well. I've never pixeled water before and i thought it looked reasonably organic for 4 colours and 38x19 tiles. But if you have any sugestions on how it could be better i'm happy to listen.

I don't understand what you mean by scratches? If you explain it abit better i'll adress that in the future. : )

They're all brown, but i see what you mean about the readability against the other colours. They're often at the back of the mockup with a white background so i didn't notice that before now.

@ Shiru ~ I have no access to transperancy and they're designed to be put togeather on MS Paint so unfortunatly shadows were not an option. But i'll keep it in mind for future projects.

@ Zen ~ Thankyou verry much. : )

Oh I love it! It's not perfect as the people below me said, but it looks really nice, everything together, so it works fine for me. Very awesome set.

Good, but I think, with shadows it would be better.

Very nice! Like zi-double says, the water could use some more work! But still fav!

nice tiles ... look at good ... just two thinks:

water isn't good with that scratches and maybe need more brown and contrast for the trunk of the trees, because now they are a bit unreadable.

Hope to see more ;)
