Hmmm... I see. Now I have a LCD monitor and it does look a bit strange...
I'm kind of used to, tho...
But I miss my old CRT, I hate to see diferent colors depending of where I'm looking...
I really don't know for sure how my art look for the other people, thanks for sharing!
Because dither looks very different on CRT than it does on LCD or TFT. It blends much more, 50% dither becomes new colours. So I imagine on a CRT this looks much smoother :)
I actually planned for some time now to get a 2nd monitor (CRT) just to check oldschool pixelart on more or less :D
This is quite nice for EGA. Question: Did you make this on a CRT monitor?
toda vez que eu vejo aquela propaganda do cup noodles que o cara ta no zoológico e os macacos comecam a dançar, ai um pega uma caixa de som e bota no ombro! hahahha
Well, thanks for all the tips.
I'll pratice some more with this pallete!
Anyway, it's really hard to do great pieces in the first time...
But I'll search for more references and inspirantion!
Thanks again.
And can you show me an exemple? I tryed many ways to do this...
As I said in Portuguese below...
It's very difficult to make the correctly tones and midtones whit this palette without abuse of dithering...
And it's my first experience btw,
if I'll make another pixel with this palette, i'll do better, I think ^^
Acontece que é realmente difícil trabalhar sem dithering com cores tão específicas,
As cores são muito puras, e não funcionam bem sozinhas...
De qualquer forma, valeu!
I tryed to make a kind of sandwich. And somehow Taco is a sandwich too.
So... yeah! XD
A tad overdithered, I might say.
