With Walk, Run, Standard Attack and Jump animations. Shocked? A redux of the Rustbug sprite, and i think i've finally found what i was aiming for. The chunky sprite was fun, but it wasn't efficient, it was too fat and hard to animate. So i introduced the good aspects of the orginal Rustbug sprite (the agile look) and those of the chunky Rustbug sprite (the solidity) and gave it a clean up and wash of more intense colours. This will hopefully be used in the 'Rustbug game'. (EDIT: 02/10/08)

This character has looked great since the first sprite. In some ways I like the original look. But this one really has perfect animation! :D

This is great! The colors are better than the old one for sure, much more vivid, and the curved border piece between the orange and black is much better rounded, but I think the legs lost a little of the definition the other one hand. Unless you redesigned that portion on purpose. Regardless, very nice!

Man I loved the chunky version and was sad when you said you were leaning back towards the original style again. What you've done here is exactly what you said, melded the best of both together and tied it up with your latest level of skill. Great job man, I'm looking forward to a game someday...maybe by the time my kids can play it =P

What a great improvement! The new colors are so much sharper and the anim is very smooth. Only one thing, why did you decide to remove the thrust boost animation when he jumps? I kinda liked that.
