It would look tons better if you would anti-alias that icky outline.  it just looks plain gaudy to me!

  It looks like you use the "posterize" filter as a shortcut.  Dont do that.  Be patient.  Work at your own pace, but dont cut corners.   It really damages the outcome.

2 Lawrick... http://www.buran.ru/htm/spiral.htm See bottom big image and much more there. I've painted something like them. No AA on earth' background 'cause i'm too lazy. Version without outline (disabled layer in PhotoShop) looks much more organical (made in one style). So... It is what it is.

Could you show any reference images you used?
One thing that bothers me about this is the variation of quality between the inside of the ship and the outside and outlining. You haven't AAd the outline at all, yet the inside is very smooth. Was there a reason for this?

Drawed from scratch after watching on a pictures. It's a real russian shuttle. Not completed enough to make a fly but... it was.
