Nice job for a first.
Be patient placing pixels (here they are a bit rough and messy) and
experiment with smart/pretty/etc colors (these are quite ugly).

I'm glad to see that you remove some of the outlines

but...

The colours hate me, and I hate them... they are way too saturated!
