Did some work on the Rika Character Portrait. Most of the work has gone on the hair, although I have done some dithering to make it fit in more with the game.

I agree with the fact that the dithering doesn't really belong in this piece... The hair looks nicer though now you added more detail in it... So I'd remove the dither (also in the hair and replace it for lines/strands) and enjoy the beautiful piece you've made!
Yeah, remove the dithering. In many games, both 2d and 3d, mugshots/potraits are in a different style than the actual characters, so I don't think it matters much if your game has dithering or not, if you decide to use none for the portraits.
God, not the dithering! The old one is perfectly fine, just needs some detailing on the hair. Like, keep the new hair, but get rid of the awful dithering.
Although you rendered the hair in more detail, you lost some of the form which you had done very nicely in the previous version. TO fix this, i say apply highlights on the same areas as in the first version - it looks flat atm.
Nice character and an interesting update. Personally I prefer the old version as the mixture of dithering and toon shading on some parts of the character feel a little forced. I feel the same way about the hair too.
