The tale of Pixel Joint Village's monster is a sad one.

Long ago, a young farmer lost his precious parts in a milling accident. Still adamant about passing on his family farm to the next generation, he chose a less natural method of reproduction.

The farmer had shown interest in the dark arts from a young age, and thanks to his habit of never returning lent items and his aunt Wytchka, he was in possession of a tome on transmutation.

The spell that allowed him to create a child in his own image had him sacrifice several pounds of his own flesh and bodily fluids on soil of frequent bloodshed. Whenever he could miss a bit of skin the farmer started to cut and tear the meat from his body, storing what he had in the back of his small abattoir.

Fortune had it a criminal swapped his collection for a mixture of meats in a series of peculiar crimes meant to cause the downfall of all local butchers.
The leader of the Militant Vegans Organization later admitted to organizing these raids, claiming they successfully sabotaged their victims and had the butchers sell a number of uncustomary products ranging from iguana to the remains of the beloved PJ Village Circus gorilla Rocky.

As a result of this all, the farmer ended up with a newborn creature that didn't exactly fit his expectations. With his faith in magic lost, he decided to raise the strange creature anyway, hoping it could become a companion as the farmer had become a recluse due to the scars that covered his body as a result of his meat stripping. The creature grew up receiving all of his father's love and all the care it could ever ask for.

The farmer however, became ever more depressed about his failure, and when he had to sell half of his farm to survive economic struggles, he blamed the creature and subsequently blamed it for ruining his future. He eventually threw his monstrous son out of the house in a fit of rage and shot at it whenever it tried to return home.

The monster's beastly nature caused it to react violently. Combined with its strangely human lust for revenge it planned to slowly kill all of the farmer's livestock. Emerging only at night to take the odd number of lives it killed the farmer's source of income and with it any chance of the farm being handed down to even a distant relative.

You totally deserved first place with this.  I love the distressed photo look, very well executed.  5/5.

It feels like the line going down the left side breaks the flow of the of the piece rather than adding more detail. Still good though.
