I had fun doing this one... The pure white shade is the transparent color (though, it's possible I could have made better use of that). The pattern on the placemat-like-thing is really there just to keep it from looking too boring.

good stuff - bottle appears to be drawn over the picture somehow.
Aw ,rats! I didn't check out PJ until this morning, so I didn't know I had to remove the white... Oh well. I thought I read on the forums that the only loophole we had was the transparent color, so I used the white. Doesn't matter now anyhow. :P
Kind of a bummer I guess, but it's not like I wasted time working on this. I still consider it a nice addition to my gallery. :)
Darn you Seven! Yeah, you're pretty much right about the perspective (I actually modified the bottle a bit before I submitted it to the gallery, but I overlooked the glass). I'll see if I have time to touch it up.
Dra_Chan: Thanks, you've jinxed me now. :P As for the transparent color... the transparency is just what would be around the sprite so you can see the other layers or background (usually clear/nothing/transparent in games) but since this isn't going to be moving or anything I can make that transparent color anything. I picked the white just so you could see the glass better against the background.
This piece is awesome, it will probably win, but I don't think you can use pure white, it's not the same as transparent color, not being able to use white is part of the challenge I think, or it would be in the palette,
Awesome shading and use of colors, BUT... Aren't the perspectives from the bottle and glass wrong? According to what I see on the table - and the table itself - I should be seeing the "top" of them.
this is just ridiculous. I love the style, everything just looks so smooth. And i really like the interesting take on shading the bottle and glass light reflection.
