This is the first piece of pixel art I ever made. It shows a Torii gate, used on the entrance of shinto shrines.
The reason it's cut both at the top and the bottom, is that it is part of a larger scene I was making, sized 1920x240. I might finish that in the far future, but I think that this gate can be considered a finished work by itself.
GG counts 13 colors. They are all shades of red, all of which have H=358, S=92 and L=10..65 in steps of 5

There's no better way to represent a Torii gate than the tasteful use of bright red. I agree some more contrasting and shadowing would work, but leave the saturation be. It's spot on.
