Pixel art that is made in the c64 style, normally is harder to get the point on it and do something with a big quality.. but if you do it good, it's very interesting and cool to see. You did it good, of course, and Metroid is one of my top 2D games... :)
How is that this doens't have any rewards :B, awesome work man
That was nice! This is one of my favorites to date.
Ahh, I see one of my all-time favorite pieces is on Pixel Joint. This has been a major inspiration to me. Thank you vierbit!
This remains one of my favorite PJ items to date. Yes, partially due to the NES Metroid nostalgia oozing from it. It was such a cool idea to even make it.
I wanna make this game so bad...............AAAAAAAARRRRGH!!!
I wish that someone would make this as an actual game, I really, really do.(Except instead of being the original metroid it was more of a zero mission/super metroid type deal).
@Veto
I actually messed around with hires mode. But I rather have a lower resolution with more colors,
than hires with only 2. I know its possible to mix hires and lowres tiles, but that doesn´t looked right to me.
Of course thinks like the status bar could be done in hires.
very good usage of the c64 character mode. agree that background and sprites look even better than the nes original. i wonder why you do not use hires for darker chars...
Wow, this is so great. Use of the palette is so good. Top marks, easy.
Pure awesomeness! C64 ftw! I would have loved to play this on my C64!
That does look excessively leet.
I very much like the colouring.
Ah yes, making designs on a C-64 with max. 4 colors in a 4x8 pix block was a challenge, but this looks masterful!
