Gil, yeah Ultima art is something you either love or hate. I've been in the love camp up till they started adding on new graphics (by different artists) which didn't match. My very favorite has to be the art work in Ultima VIII The Pagan. Ah!

I can see some issues still, but when compared to the original dragons and the one it's supposed to replace, this looks lovely.

Never been a fan of ultima art though, I do love the fact that they dropped that horrid skewed perspective for proper isometrics.

Why does all their art look like it's got mud smeared over the screen? Where's all the vibrant colors gone to?

I'm not really familiar with Ultima Online, but I read your page. What a huge improvement! I know from experience that skeletons are really hard to pixel because of all that tiny negative space at such a small scale, but you really nailed it here.
