Game is called Kyatto Ninden Teyandee. There's also translated version floating around.
Your version is interesting - more european and MSXy than in FC game - I think you'd draw different if you'd seen the game first.
Hope I haven't spoiled anything if you wanted to draw something on this theme in the future.
I never knew there was an official game for this.
Must find a rom somewhere. And the names in the description match the sprites in the same order, if you were wondering.
