I struggled with these braids for almost a month and I am not at all satisfied with them. They simply look the best when done all simple-like. I tried adding aliasing and some additional shading but it just didn't look quite right. Good thing for layers, huh?
Her necklace and armbands don't really look very metal though. They're supposed to be platinum.
Okay, thanks to some kind guidance, I fixed this up a bit. In all my inane obsessing with the braids, I kind of forgot that the legs seem a bit short and oddly proportioned.
Re-did legs, added a bit of 50% dither to soften the pants. And re-did the outline of the arms too. I think it made it a bit better?

The dark chin works very well on the girl in the red, but this is because she has a dark outline all over. On this piece you've used colored outlines and anti-aliasing to greater effect, so the black chin seems out of place. When you colored it though, even the portions you left dark looked nice. ;D Good job!
Thank you kindly, I'm pretty happy with the results too.
As for the chin, good question. It makes the face stand out for sure. I posted a non-black chin version here...
The dark chin thing worked on this previous piece, seen here. I'm thinking of doing a game with these 2 as playable characters so I've got to have some consistency between all the characters. ;)
This is very nice! I really like the way you styled this, and your anti-aliasing is wonderful. The only problems I see are related to the flesh. Your outline color isn't sufficiently dark I would say, and the legs get a bit noodly near the feet. I see what you attempted there, because there's evidence of the heels jutting out behind the calves, but I'm not certain that those should be visible at all from the angle you've chosen. Beyond those small discrepancies however, great job!
