this is for the weekly challenge i was working on some images for fun and i realized it fitted the same guidlines as the weekly challenge so i put some stuff together and made a piece.

line art is the lines, the outlines - not silluettes.

http://pixeljoint.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1101 -that's line art

lineart; lineart is the general shape of the characters or what ever your drawing. a simple google tutorial could have told you this! but people see this as different things so i can see why you could have thought otherwise

"the lineart took me ages"

What lineart? You've drawn silhouettes (which look mediocre), but lineart..? *shakes head*

considering the challenge only allowed 2 colors, and i din't want to outline my characters backgrounds were becoming a nonsence. plus i'v never been good at them anyway.

I realy like the look of the people and tank. But th ground seems too simple... I also think you should have tried harder to get a nicer background. I know you said you woulld wreck the images themselves but Im sure something would fit. Also maybe just something like a plane dropping bombs or something would make the skymore intresting. Pretty good though. 3/5

i read the challenge and i seen that the main point was the use of 2 colors. and that is what i did. i couldn't think of a way of making a detailed background or anything without wrecking the images themselves. so i did what heyy13 said and played it safe.

but this is still ok to be in the challenge right?
and what do you all think?

the lineart took me ages

Look at big brother's submission and you will see that you are wrong.

No it wasn't. It was to do something readable useing only two colours and trying to expand your horizons at the same time. Yes this entry plays it safe but it definatly fits the challenge. : )

The whole point of this challenge was to use dithering.
