Great line art, this looks like an artistic cartoon.

I see what you did there with the "manga-paper look". Very nice! And as cocefi commented, you should add your reference.

This is by far one of my favorite discovery since I'm on this forum
The stance and the attitude in this work is rarely found elsewhere
so, thanks

Thanks everyone.

There are a few things pointed out I could of changed to make it a bit better but one thing I really want to emphasise is that it's not meant to be dithering, I was trying to emulate the screentone effect commonly found in manga, just so you all know so uh yeah >.>

Nice! Great job... Even if you used the mspaint dithering schemes... lovely line art... 5/5!

dither fills are not pixel-art in my book =/

The lines looks great. Love the screentone effect!

But the figure seems to be heavily referenced from this?

I have the same issue as Jeremy, it doesn't strike me as pixel art. The lineart allthough smoothed into single pixels doesn't look as though you did final editing to create the seamless outlineing that's such a staple of the medium. It definatly has areas of pixel attendance but the flood fill dither and over all rough feel to it makes me question wether or not it's suitable for a pixeljoint gallery.

You might have to change the preview- A shrunk image isn't generally allowed  And dither patterns are generally considered "dirty"

Also, there isn't any show of the creases and folds of the fabric, which basically means there isn't any shading or anything- here's an edit where I've replaced the dithering with an euivalent grey- would you think this would be allowed into a PJ gallery?

Anyway, it is a very nice piece of art which you should be proud of and I wish you the best of luck in the competition

Thanks, the line art was the longest part of the piece.

I was trying to create an effect similar to the screentones used in manga. The fill effect for the B+W mode of paint was perfect for it, because from what I understand manga artists cut out the required parts of the screentone paper and place it ontop of the image instead of hand making it.

I don't like how hardly any of the dithering was hand-made. You obviously used the MSPaint black+white dithering schemes to fill the white areas. I myself think that shouldn't be allowed, but who knows, it might be. I like the lineart :P
