thanks for the tip The B.O.B. I've updated it having redrawn the rotors without the aid of transparency, also sidxartax, i added the shadow! image actually looks more complete with the darker blades.
thanks again for all the comments :)

Hey mogeeoh. This is a fun little piece, but unfortunately, the gallery doesn't permit use of transparent layers and such. We will have to send this back for revision. However, if you can just edit the helecopters blades/rotors without the use of transparency, and just pixel them yourself, we'll definitely let it back in...
Looks pretty cool! I love how you did the globe thingy, especially with the individual hexagonal planes. The copter is also good, although I bet it would be even more awesome if you also drew the insides. The tank looks kind of bright when compared to the other stuff, though.
However, the rotors where not created with a gradient - i did use a transparent layer which, i admit, probably is a bit n00bish and i can see why this would be frowned upon, I'll try and stay away from it in the future :)
For the gradient i created 4 really obvious colour differences - the darkest being black and the lightest white, and then slowly replaced each colour with one more suited to its neighbour. to add to this i then put in a single pixel line between the main blocks and on the edges so there are actually 9 colours in the gradient. although, after all the work that went into it the rotor is far too light compared to the shadows.
Anyhoo, i'm flattered you thought it was a gradient! and i'll def avoid using transparent layers again! :)
