I wanted to see what it would look like if pixels had different colored borders around them, and decided to kill two birds with one stone and sprite a bubble for this expirements. I think it has a kind of cool mosiac like effect to it. reference: http://twilit.files.wordpress.com/2008/03/bubble.jpg
finally something beatiful has been submitted to the challenge. i feel relieved and, at the same time, congrat you for a well exeuted piece. i think that adding a few more details to the reflex in the bubble would be a good idea, but that would probably burst it.
I got the idea from a conversation in the chat box before the comp was posted about Kazimir Malevich's "Black Square". "Oh and overall, pixels are cool because they emit light, often in 3 different colors. Kazimirs pixel has never emitted light, nor has an on or off function.
And at last, have you ever seen a pixel with a border?"
and then I got the idea. also, I just want to point out that the detail image isnt a blown up edited version of the small image. The big image was made first.
