Arylic - Thanks for the suggestions, made some small edits. You're completely spot on about the background, it was done in about 2 minutes 
Any ideas on how I could fix that up?

Pros: The idea is so romantic and interesting mate.
The colours are really interesting.
The anatomy is perfect.
The flowers are also really well done
Cons:
The guy seems like his crying blood as pointed out by other members.
The background looks like a 2 minute doodle and not a part of the piece.

Hmmm... :) I love the atmosphere of lovers.... :D I'm in love, so I feel very good in this climate :D Very nice technique, overlook.... Two bad things - one, this shading on man's face (RobbieE have right) and pallete - you could use much smaller one. 40 colours are too wide pallete for these colours used in this piece, I think.
But I very like this work :) Added to favs and max points :)

It looks much better then what I saw at Pixelation, although one small thing his eye looks like it's crying tears of blood

Really good! But maybe needs more pixelly goodness - like removing the banding on the dress, add buffer colors for tights. Check out the graphics for the game "simon the sorceror" - I'm sure it could help because your flowers remind me of it.
