The first one looks so real, I really liked
I'm not as much a fan of this new one, though it works better at higher resolutions. The tail looks as if it's in need of some AA, and the shading on the fur seems a bit harsh.
New one's my favorite out of the bunch. I just wanna tickle its belly :3
Love how your latest work all have such high contrast. Definitely makes your pieces more stylized and sharp. Your old opossum was great, but this new one is stunning.

i think the original is one of the best sprites ever made. It embodies pixel art- low colors that are distinguishable, the small palette is used expertly (specular highlight on nose, teeth, etc.), pixel perfect line art, and implying much more detail than is actually drawn.
