This is a good choice for a piece (pocket watches are nifty), but I would have thought this a locket except for your title. It does not have many of the distinguishing features of a watch (such as numerals, or hands). Now if this were a hunter-case watch-that is to say, one with a cover-then I would advise you to give it a more visible knob. I suggest adding hands and markers of some sort at at least 4 points on the watch.
As well, the kinks in the length of the chain that is hanging off the table seem to be there for the sake of the highlights. The way I see it, it should hang straight off the edge of the table from the initial bend (though one could allow for a slight curve in case of a bevelled edge).
