Recently I noticed one game in WIP blog of MAME developing team - Country Girl.

Itself it is nothing special, a card game that I never would play, but it's cheesy graphics has very good appeal. I thought that I could draw in the same style not too worse, so I took colours from screenshots and eventually this pic appeared.

Yeah, you right. Looks like artist of Country Gir used selective outline as shading effect. Therefore there no dark pixels on top of things and many on underside. I removed them but left on second from left for comparison.

Watch out for jaggies along the edges (legs and arms mainly). Your inspiration had a few, but generally used unbroken outlines. Nice work otherwise; I like the off-white card-like background to each plate.
