I needed some practice in portraits in general
This picture seemed perfect, no eye detail, a profile, a lot of shadowy contrast to highlight the volume, etc.

Plus, it's a picture of Victor Jara :)

 Nice :) . I didn't know Victor Jara before. I've just gone through the web to get some info. Died in a coup D'etat along with many others ,  that's really sad .

Actually, it's too bad that my spanish isn't that good
his lyrics and poetry do not translate well to french or english

and I always feel devastated when I remember how he was executed.
