A little bouncing animation for CPC Mode 0. Submitted mainly because there aren't any mode 0 animations here on PJ!
(I know I could easily make a loop from it, but I like my snappy starting anim too much for that)
Twas also my own little test of animation (which I haven't done in a while) and Mode 0 animation (which I haven't done in many years :) which turned out really well.
30 minutes (much of which was tweaking the bounce), using GIMP-GAP for animation.
Inspired by Croco Magneto, which I loooove the music to!: http://www.cpczone.net/game/2061

This submission is 'awaiting approval', but doesn't appear in the public queue. Is this a separate phase I've never noticed before, a fix of the bug where people's own submissions show up to them in the public queue, or some other insidious bug?
I had the impression that the public queue held a pixel-art until A) it had racked up a few votes and B) a few of the moderators had inspected and approved it.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v449/neota/alphazero/retro-info.png includes info on Amstrad CPC modes and master palette; mode 0 is widepixel, mode 1 is square pixel;mode 2 is monochrome (2 color) tall pixel and not mentioned there.
Normal resolution in mode 0 is 160x200; using overscan techniques, up to 192x264 pixels could be displayed. Mode 1 normal resolution is 320x200, overscan up to 384x264 (I think). Mode 2 normal resolution is 640x200, overscan up to 768x264 (again, I think)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amstrad_CPC#Video is also informative, though I've probably provided most of the useful info above.

Croco Magneto did indeed have excellent music and is exactly what I thought of when I saw this sprite before even reading the info.
Come to think of it, I've posted Mode 1 animation and Mode 0 screenshots but I've never posted a Mode 0 animation on here.
