not to mention constant saving of a png or gif, can actually dull the palette down, making the hue possibly lose it's exact value at a certain point...

If you abitually using Photoshop and "Save For Web" you can involve in color problems. If the system isn't in srgb profile and photoshop isn't all in this color profle, the exported images many times don't have the exact colors of the "work space". Next way can is the normal "save as.." and fix this problem of color correspondence.
Also I has the same problem at once...

That darkest colour in your diagram is just plain and simply not from the palette...have a look. It's not even the same hue.

I know, but that is because I used 10 colors, and 8 of them are from the palette. I can make a diagram or something if I need to....

hm. Please change the last colour to one from the palette. Right now you have a colour that is R128 G0 B128. it has to be either R122 G0 B122 or R133 G0 B133.
