I am quite sure that your knowledge and love for color will increase as soon as you learn to use with less :). Nothing is more rewarding.

Thank you for the 16 or less color suggestion Lollige.  I understand that some people find the pinnacle of pixel art to be the use of the least amount of colors to express themselves, BUT... minimalism just ain't my style.  I love color.  I love using lots of them, and when a super-color challenge like the Magenta Challenge came along I couldn't help myself.  The purpose of this piece was to express my love for the color magenta and I used not just the magenta palette from the challenge, but also tweaked in-between and darker shades of magenta too.

I come from a fine arts background with lots of painting.  I guess that's where it comes from.   Either way, I uploaded the right final version.  I have no idea how many colors are in it.

No, I would like you to upload a version that contains about 16 colors, maybe even less.

Yep that's what I did I uploaded a different one than my final save.  Would you like me to edit the description to 113 colors?

I have several versions in progress.  I might have uploaded the one before last.

Actually there are 113 colors. Can you explain that?
