Self-Portrait. Made by placing one pixel at a time with love and care given to each and every one before it was placed. Edit: taking in feedback, added luminosity and smoothed some gradations.

Alright, this newest version is clean enough for my tastes (although I think the hair is a bit noisy, I think focusing more on strands and direction would make it look better)

Ooh, nice edit! The luminosity from the up-left is a really nice change. Although, the expression changed slightly toward being a little pissed rather than pensive.

MetaruDogmeat (damn your avatar thievery): It's legit. The only reason I haven't pushed it in yet is the borderline sketchiness, getting mod feedback and whatnot. We've had stuff like this let in then afterwards rejected that was about as controlled as this. Hazy area.

There Is No Cure already saw my reference and verified that it was not a "bad trace." And, yes, your comment is just plain mean. Not constructive, not helpful, just mean, I'm glad you can recognize that in yourself.

This is really nice. Great work! I hear ya on the bureaucraticness...lol I had the same problem. I say let it in and maybe change the rules for self portraits. This is the internet, PM or not, it could end up anywhere.

Resubmitted as no longer work in progress with more standardized methods of pixelation (you're breaking my spirit here, people). Why does this process have to be so bureaucratic? I feel like I'm back in the office.

@ Delfos: Changed preview image. Confused by your first sentence, but that's okay.

@tomic: ja, ich weiB, zu viel farben. This last one has 64 colors. Also, this is my first personal dedicated pixel submission. I have two others, but one was done years ago and the other was a challenge one.

Well... If this is a self-portrait, what's the difference? You're already in the page...

Anyway, looks really cool to me. And this is clearly not oekaki (why does everyone says oekaki and not just "doodle"... it's the same thing..). BUT, being a WIP, this shouldn't be in the gallery.
upload it when it's finished! Will be far much succesful.

And change the preview image, it's really ugly xD

hmm, shows that you've deffo got some skills in drawing. still, for my understanding of pixel-art it's more a pixelated portrait than a pixeled one (eher 'pixelig' als 'gepixelt', 136 farben sind auch echt 'nen bisschen viel).. thus i dunno if it qualifies for the gallery. reminds me on the oekaki-issue.

Thank you. It's in progress, but I do like that style of pixelation, tried it with the lemons on wood pixel piece, to partial success.
