Here's my own stupid mecha. My mecha design sucks, and therefore is really annoying to sprite-a-tize, and is not easy. ARGH. Anyway... wee... pixels.

About the arms, you'd probably have to see my original designs and such.  They are cylinder-like, but there is an extra... flange?  Just a bit that comes out and over the top of the hand, and out and over the elbow... if that makes any sense.

It's rather excellent, the pose is cool and it wouldn't be out of place in a tactical iso game. Good job with the subtle fingers. My only gripe is the forearms, their shading seem to indicate they are cylinders, and then it doesn't seem logical how the elbow works.
