Now that's awesome

AlexFreem (Level 1 Private) @ 10/11/2012 22:13

My favorite film! Great! Thx you

hnt6581 (Level 1 Jukyu) @ 8/26/2012 11:30

I love the low contrast scheme!!!

Muziak (Level 3 Enforcer) @ 8/14/2012 03:51

the background you've done here is outstanding. love how the tree/city looks almost engulfed in fog/mist

Dino502Run (Level 6 Serial Killer) @ 1/22/2010 05:07

Yeah the background is sweet, and I love the colors

Sinsky (Level 5 Rokkyu) @ 11/13/2009 11:31

Yes, reminds me SF films. Great background, nice use of layers.

Nether (Level 5 NES) @ 5/18/2009 02:26

I think the movie was too much underappreciated. Such a great film and hardly no-one knows about it.

The palette suits the mood of the movie perfectly. I would have very much liked to see this as a game. You've done a good job here.

Stickman (Level 7 Sheriff) @ 5/5/2009 15:48

Great pic for a good film. Hope you don't leave it too long for your next piece:)

-DE- (Level 11 General) @ 3/20/2009 23:26

Yeah, that's the one.

As for the outlines... what can I say, I like them, they give that comic book feel that I love in pixelart, and I don't plan on getting rid of them anytime soon. So if I post something new in the future, be prepared for...

RE: color conservation - I used different colors for both sprites and tiles.

crab2selout.png (Level 4 Deputy) @ 3/20/2009 21:28

I like the simplisity, DE. The desat is definitely a good look, but I'm a little disappointed that you decided on outlines. It'd be very interesting to see this without or with more minimal outlines. Was equilibrium hte one with Christian Bale and the book burners?

kotchomet (Level 1 Private) @ 3/20/2009 15:58

forgive me if i'm wrong, but isn't eighteen colors a bit... ecxessive?

Cheetah (Level 2 Flatfoot) @ 3/20/2009 10:11

I'm totally loving this! Equilibrium is an underdeveloped piece of property and this mockup is amazing. You are able to do so much with so little color. The building should look huge and plain, but all the litle details and shading you use give it a lot of character and depth. Very impressive.

PanicBomber (Level 6 Manager) @ 3/15/2009 16:37

wow this is so nice, i love it!

006 (Level 2 Corporal) @ 3/15/2009 14:52
