Sharprm:
I don't have a "proper" ref picture - Maleficent is only depicted as an adult sorceress, very tall and skinny and all covered in a bat-like robe, with only head and hands emerging from it, whilst mine is a teenager, curvier Maleficent in a witchy dress and boots.
The only things I had ref for are the headdress - looked at the original one when I decided to reshape it - and Diablo, especially for his colouring. I've made a WIP starting from the (random) sketch this originated from to the end result, I'll add it to the file descr.
Pic of Maleficent (headdress and Diablo ref)
Antiboton: thank you, it was quite clear to me that the light was coming from top-left
I think pillow shading works here-it suggests interesting material. That said, maybe shade her legs better. Needs more colors to AA black outline for skin imo. Also did you draw structure of legs properly (where they join hip)? Bird's feet seem crude. Nice otherwise. Please post ref so we can check things like eye perspective, feet/beak construction etc..
I like it a lot. Max poits for this. And don't think is totally pillow shaded. You can note the light source comes from the left to the right.
I like the palette but the pillowshading is killing this piece! Try to define where the light is comming from!
That's a great pose you drew. Been reading John K's blog, if you're not familiar with it maybe check it out:

I think if you drew her on paper from scratch using that construction method, maybe you might change knees slightly. Also for her right boot, the top curve. Anyway, good stuff.
