That's really realistic, saw the show once a long time ago and I think it matches up perfectly. Nice job!
That is strange, as it hasn't been saved as a .jpg only as a gif. I opened up the game making software it was originally drawn in and there are not loads of colours. Seems to have been caused by animation shop.

One thing though it looks as if it's been saved as a jpg or something as I was just looking at it closer in paint and well the pores appear to be countless amounts of colours for one shade?
i like it alot, the proportion hits my eye right away, it's very well done, i've always love the stupid face the starfish always has on lol
I've noticed that Spongebob usually has a greenish tinge to his shadows and pores, maybe try to incorperate that into your colour scheme?
