I understand what you're saying, but without adding extra colors such as AA, it was hard to grab the shape. If I filled that space in, it wouldn't look "oval". Believe me, I played with rotation, but it made it look worse. The position of the cymbals was important. I spent more time on the cymbals than the rest of it. I wanted to animate this with a drummer, so I wanted to limit the colors.
The kit was made to have black trim and on the the dark crt I did it on I was missing the jagginess. I screwed up a few pieces that way. Yes. I know this is flawed.
Sorry, I don't believe that there is no rotation on hats. Those single dots (line-empty dot-dot) and two pixel ladders at some edges are very specific rotation artefacts. There is no reason for them to be placed there manually, and that can't be done accidentally.
No offence taken. It's my 2 monitor problem. It didn't look nearly as jaggy of my other crt, which is dark. I'll get a much better update...
And Shiru, No rotation here. Just jaggy.
very jaggy - no offense, but how did this get in the gallery?
You should invest another hour and smooth out the jaggyness, IMO
also, you should considder a consistant lightsource. atm, there are different lightsources for each of the drums
Is rotation allowed here? I don't know how else you can get so jaggy edges on hats.
Pretty good
