The distortion in the glass is fab. The yellow/grey in the hair and beard looks a bit meh to me though.
hi. the part with the colors is my fault. i uploaded a version with pal emulation. replaced the pic with pure 16-color palette.
It's great to see original pixel professional from 8 and 16-bit days on the site! However PJ is community of pixel purists so there may be some misconceptions. For instance it is expected that artwork is pixel-perfect, without any artifacts, in it's source form, without any effects (smudge, spraycan, gradient tool) applied, done by one artist. So, screenshots from emulator here preferred over screenshots from original hardware or videotape as they don't have any distortion of the picture. Sometimes these rules sound silly, but at large they help to keep the site on the tracks.
I don't know what you expect from PJ, but I think people would be glad to see artwork from you and if you'd share some experience and gave some insights on the process and maybe even given critics on some pieces - it would be fantastic.
We also have a forum.
The quality of this doesn't seem right. I can see the technical side is ok, but it kinda' looks as if it was saved as a jpeg, lots of random colors that look like they didn't belong in the original. The site only allows .gifs and .png files. Think we're going to have to send back for revision until a much "cleaner" version is submitted in it's place...if it still exists.
Very good mood and scene!
