oh thanks. I'm working on a piece thats non-iso right now. I think its going to be my best yet.
Iso is what you've done here, stuff on an 30 degree angle. (FunFact: In pixels it's 26.66 degrees to get that perfect 2x1 pattern)
Non-iso is just regular drawings. Like most of my stuff. Or your avatar.
What is non-ISO pixel art? I'm new to pixeling and don't know all of the tricks and tips floating around.
Nothin' wrong with MSPaint my friend. It's the software I use (:
Anyway, looks good but a little plain. You might want to try some non-iso pixel art soon, to get used to art in general. Have fun pixeling!!! (:
It's pixeljoint dot com, man =) humouros style of life makes a life longer!
* it wasn't me telling you something one row upper =)
OK, its just that everyone has benn telling me to use that, use this, do that, do this (besides the help with getting accepted.)
IT IS my first pixel art. I'm working on another piece of pixels. Please do not be harsh on me.
It IS your first PA or «a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away...» it WAS your first PA ? ;) In all case sorry for my english — my thoughts may have slight difference with posted text =)
Use Gimp =) And this PA is a good start except of huge empty spaces...
Absolutely NOTHING is wrong with Photoshop for pixelart!
Any program that can work on a pixel level is fine.
ah google theres no telling what it might know about you and me. And with ms paint theres no layers so if you messup then you have to keep undoing stuff that you made. Its just a pain in the rear.
Type it in google. And MS paint is better than you think for pixeling.
MS paint!! that is crazy. I am so NOT going to use ms paint. And what is this "Graphics Gale" software?
I'm working on it some more, so I will update the photo soon. I am adding some other features.

It's kind of plain. Try using road arrows or something.
What is wrong with photoshop?! what other software do i use? (it has to be free)
I like it, it's cool in it's simplicity. Reminds me of mirrors edge.
I only use PS to make pixelart myself so is you ever feel stumped just ask.
The forum has a thread dedicated to setting up PS for pixelart, its in the resource section somewhere. Do a search. It may also be in the link section of the gallery too, can't recall.
thanks. I always knew there had to be a way to do that in photoshop (being a great software and all).
To make transparent using Photoshop use the 'save for web' option and make sure the transparency option is checked.
Try for more details and points of interest in future work ;)
the preview isn't pixeled so it won't be accepted. fix that and youre in the game ;)
ok I'll try to fix that I'm working on it some more because I don't fell like it finished yet.
Not necesary need a transparent BG but is a good idea in some pieces.
In this case the problem is the wasted space, a huge white BG.
I'm sure photoshop has transparency, but FAQ here - http://pixeljoint.com/pixels/faqs.asp#faq1287
It must have a transparent background to be accepted.
Not in photoshop. But at leas you could reduce de tbig white square.
I use Irfanview or Gif Movie Gear to make them transparent.
I don't know how to make it transparent in photoshop. Do you?
Still waiting for that other stuff!
This looks very good esp for a first!
I use PS too, it's just too good. I wouldn't recommend getting it for just PA though, but if you have it then it's all you need. I couldn't live without layers, history, multiple windows and such.
