Oh well I thought 100x100 is legitimate for avatar...sadly...
Well the 2x2 pixel shading on the robe is a long story, but from distance it looks kinda good, the leg stance is battle ready so yes after some time it would get painfull and maybe the dark is too dark or it is with the background.
It's too big for an avatar, unfortunately, needs to be 64x64 :(
Anyway, I quite like the metal shading, but why the mixed resolutions? (In the robe thing you have 2x2 pixel squares, any particular reason?) The legs' stance would also be quite painful and the robe colour is too saturated.
I think that the darkest shade of the metal is too dark, it makes the helmet lack definition.
Except for the resoultion mix it's quite nice. It also reminds me of the old amiga classic Moonstone which is a good thing ;)
